May Ministry Reports

Wainwright Unit On May 7, 2023 Apostle Ray Felder and Sis Johnnie Mae Felder, Minister Cassandra Kitchens, and Chaplain Shelia Johnson went to the Wainwright Unit in Lovelady, Texas. They were not expecting to have service that day for lack of employees. We met with the captain and the Warden and he allowed us to have the service.
The house was full and the men were excited and ready for a mighty move of God. Apostle Felder opened with some songs of worship and praise. I ministered a couple of songs. Minister Cassandra brought a mighty word from Matthew 7:13-14. Her text title was, “Which Gate Will You Enter”? The men were very attentive and receptive. Many came up for prayer and a soul was won to the Lord.
God Bless; Shelia Johnson

Clemens Trustee Camp On Sunday, May 7, 2023, I (Cynthia Ventress) ministered along with my husband, Leonard, at the Trustee Camp at Clemens Unit in Brazoria. The message was about how God will fight our battles. It is so amazing when God confirms His Word, as the same message had just been shared with the group by one of the men, early that morning before our service. We BOTH spoke about Jehoshaphat (in 2 Chronicles 20) and how the Lord caused confusion in the enemy’s camp, and their enemies fought against themselves. I recounted the stories of David and Goliath, Daniel in the lions’ den, and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace. We played a track, as the worship team led us in the song “Surrounded/This is How I Fight my Battles”. The presence of God was really felt in the chapel, as a very young man came forward for prayer. As Leonard prayed for him, he received Jesus and God’s precious Holy Spirit. He was delivered from the demons of his past that had been tormenting him. He had been running from God. But today, he surrendered to Him. After the service, this young man could not stop testifying of the miraculous power of God. He was so happy! He said that he had spoken with his wife just that very morning, and that she had told him that the night before his little girl was on her knees, sincerely praying that the Lord would save her Daddy. God truly does answer prayers! We rejoiced with him, that his daughter’s prayers were answered the very next morning, after she had prayed. Praise be to Almighty God!!!

Estelle Prison, On April 7th, Dan Groves and I ministered in the Estelle Unit with 231 men in attendance. An inmate opened the service with a scripture from the Bible. This unit has a talented worship band and choir that set the atmosphere for the meeting. Dan introduced the Ministry and gave a word of encouragement, “Let the Word dwell in you richly.” Then I gave a message “The Hope Spirit is your best friend”, from 1 Corinthians 6:19 MEV, “What? Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own.” After the message, we asked if any wanted prayer and many men came forward. Then we closed the service in prayer. I have been going into this unit for 33 years with the prison ministry and as you can see from the large attendance there is a revival going on in Estelle. God bless, Pastor John Hammond

Duncan Unit On May 13th Pastor John Hammond went to this unit and ministered to a surprisingly large gathering of men hungering for the Word of God.
Terrell Trustee Camp On May 14th, (Mothers day), minister Jason Perez went to this unit and led them in worship then brought a message from the Word of God.

Ramsey Trustee Camp, On May 28th Ministers Shelia Mitchell and Dan Groves went into this facility and joined the men for a spiritual euphony of praise and worship, followed by several individuals giving exhortations, and uplifting scriptures, including a message by Dwane comparing the spirit in us to an idling muscle car. Shelia shared how glad she was to be back after her health issues and how their prayers for her were effective, with thanks. Dan brought a message titled, “Principles of Maintenance”, in relation to continual attention to our spiritual growth. I also exhorted them to rev those engines and pop the clutch. Bless you all, Dan Groves
