July 27, 2025 – Larry Gist Unit – Beaumont, TX

Chaplain Shelia Johnson, Minister Vanessa Linzy-Woods, and Dr. Cassandra Kitchen visited the Gist Unit in Beaumont, Texas. We held an 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM service with praise and worship, which the men joined enthusiastically. In both services, Chaplain Johnson sang several anointed worship songs that filled the room with the presence of the Lord. In the first service, Evangelist Linzy-Woods gave an amazing message entitled “Roads, Gates, and Other Destinations” from Matthew 7:13-14. In the second service, Chaplain Johnson gave a powerful message entitled “Dead Man Walking or Walking Dead Man” from Romans 6:1-7. In total, there were 157 men in attendance. More than 10 men gave their lives to Christ, and many came forward for prayer.

Glory to God!!!

Incarcerated men seated in a prison chapel raise their hands in worship as a ministry team leads music and prayer from a small stage. A wooden cross hangs behind the speakers, and barred windows line the room, capturing a moment of spiritual connection and hope within confinement.
