We continue to see refreshing and challenging moments in the Choices program. We feel confident that the Holy Spirit is moving in an impactful way. We had meaningful conversations with several of the younger men. Some asked sincere questions and others took steps toward accepting Christ.

Dr. Cassandra Kitchen and I ministered at the LeBlanc Unit. The room was full to capacity. The praise team closed worship with the song I Trust God. Dr. Kitchen’s message came from Isaiah 35:8 to 10, Walking and Staying on the Highway to Holiness, and related to Psalm 51. The altar was full of men rededicating their lives to Christ, and the angels rejoiced over the soul that gave his life to the Lord.

Dr. Cassandra Kitchen and Shelia Johnson conducted both the 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. services. At 11 a.m., Shelia ministered from Luke 23:46 and 1 Corinthians 15:12 to 22 with the message Are You in Good Hands. She asked, Do you have both life insurance and life assurance. At 1:30 p.m., Dr. Kitchen continued her message Walking and Staying on the Highway to Holiness. A total of 117 men attended both services. Four men gave their lives to Christ and 21 rededicated their lives to the Lord. What a mighty God we serve. God is drawing His people by His Spirit.

Minister Vanessa Linzy Woods brought the message titled To Catch a Thief. Chaplain Shelia Johnson and Dr. Cassandra Kitchen were also present. She reminded the men that this walk is spiritual, and as spiritual sons and daughters of God, we must stay on guard. She used scriptures John 10:10, Ephesians 6:12 to 19, Matthew 13:25, 1 Peter 5:8, and others. Of the 86 men present, several came forward for prayer, salvation, or rededication.

Jason Perez and Mike Woerner ministered to 17 men. Together they worshipped the Lord and took communion. Brother Mike shared an encouraging word, followed by Jason’s message on sanctification. He focused on being doers of the Word and not hearers only, and on bearing love for the glory of God and the good of those around us.

Pastor John Hammond and Dan Groves ministered to more than 150 men. The worship was Spirit filled. Dan sang portions of psalms and encouraged adoration for the name of Jesus. Pastor John brought a message entitled Get Acquainted with Your Heavenly Father, from Ephesians 3:14 to 15 KJV.

Dan brought a message entitled “The Name of Jesus, More Than Identity,” citing Philippians 2:10 and seven additional scriptures.

At the 11:00 am service, Chaplain Shelia Johnson, Dr. Cassandra Kitchen, and Minister Vanessa Linzy-Woods attended. After praise and worship, Dr. Kitchen delivered a mighty word entitled “Fit for the Master’s Use,” from II Timothy 3:19-22. She challenged the men to examine whether they were vessels of honor or dishonor. She admonished that we must put on the whole armor of God and be ready for spiritual warfare so we may be suitable for God’s purpose, maintaining spiritual readiness and commitment to His Word. There were 81 men present, with 29 backsliders repenting and rededicating their lives to the Lord. Many also came for prayer. To God be the glory!!!!

Chaplain Shelia Johnson, Minister Vanessa Linzy-Woods, and Minister Cassandra Kitchen attended the 1:30 pm service. After praise and worship, Minister Linzy-Woods delivered an amazing word entitled “To Catch a Thief,” from John 10:10 and Matthew 13:25. She exposed the schemes of a spiritual thief and taught tactics on how to catch and annihilate his plans. There were 42 men present, and nearly all came up for prayer. Glory to God!!!
