August 2026 Prison Praise Reports

August 02, 2026 – Estelle Unit – Huntsville

The Estelle Lighthouse Chapel Choir changed the atmosphere of a prison to a house of Praise for 249 saints. Janet testified regarding tangible miracles. Vanessa preached a powerful and relevant message on “The Cross, The Crucifixion and The King.” She explained the significance of Christ’s blood that was shed for us to enable us to commune with a Holy God. Many came forward for prayer as Vanessa led four men in prayer for salvation. The Holy Spirit’s presence was evident in the Lighthouse. To God be the glory. Vanessa Lindsey Woods and Janet Joyce

August 02, 2026 – Larry Gist Unit – Beaumont

Dr. C. Kitchen and Chaplain S. Johnson went to the Larry Gist Unit in Beaumont, Texas. Dr. Kitchen concluded by emphasizing the importance of sharing one’s testimony at both services. She came from Revelation 12:10-11, explaining the importance of sharing one’s testimony. She opened the floor to the men and many men received healing from the testimonies given. They realized that if God could do it for that person, He can do it for them also. The service was much needed and transformational. Chaplain Shelia Johnson

August 23, 2026 – Larry Gist Unit – Beaumont

Dr. Cassandra Kitchen and I went to the Larry Gist Unit in Beaumont, Texas. Dr. Kitchen spoke from Revelation 20:11-15, asking the men to ponder the message, “What in Hell Do You Want.” The room had standing room only; some sat outside the door listening because there was no more room inside. Seventy men were in attendance. One soul came to Christ, and eleven men came up for prayer for backsliding. This is what ministry is about: souls being saved. Chaplain Shelia Johnson

August 23, 2026 – Larry Gist Unit (Second Service) – Beaumont

Chaplain S. Johnson, Minister J. Felder and Dr. C. Kitchen went to the Gist Unit in Beaumont. Chaplain Johnson sang a few selections of worship which positioned the men to receive the heart of God by the moving of the Holy Spirit. She then preached a word of fire entitled “Waiting and Not Sitting” from Isaiah 40:20-31. There were 55 who came. One gave his life and 11 backsliders. They expressed joy and appreciation because, according to them, this ministry has touched them in a big way. Praise be to God! God Bless. Dr. Cassandra Kitchen

Incarcerated men seated in a prison chapel raise their hands in worship as a ministry team leads music and prayer from a small stage. A wooden cross hangs behind the speakers, and barred windows line the room, capturing a moment of spiritual connection and hope within confinement.
