July 13, 2025 – Alfred D. Hughes Unit – Gatesville, TX

Chaplain Shelia Johnson, Dr. M. Kitchen, and Dr. Cassandra Kitchen visited the Hughes Unit in Gatesville, Texas, which is a new unit. The entire service was beautiful. The musicians were outstanding. Chaplain Johnson and Dr. Kitchen each sang a song that brought true worship. Chaplain Johnson gave a beautiful message that blessed the men, entitled “God Must Crush You in Order to Bless You” from Genesis 32:24-29. The chaplain from the unit was there and was truly moved. There were 97 men in total, and many came forward for prayer.
