April Ministry Reports

Rufus Duncan Unit: Saturday, April 13th
Pastor John Hammond and Dan Groves went to this prison and joined 42 men in festive paise and worship. Dan gave an encouragement from Prov. 29:18 and introduced the ministry and John Hammond. John brought the message entitled ‘Locations of God’. He showed, from Genesis to Revelations, the locations of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Afterward, several came for individual prayer for healing and relationships.

Carol Vance Unit: Sunday, April 14th
Dan Groves went into this prison and enjoyed rich fellowship with these brothers in Praise and Worship. There were testimonies of God’s power in individual lives, and I was blessed to see ministers God had raised up in this congregation. I brought a message entitled ‘My Love – Your Performance’. The main scripture was Eph 2:8-10, emphasis on separation of 8-9 vs 10. My performance does not influence for good or bad God’s Love, but He has called me to good works. After the message I and the prayer team prayed for several of the men’s individual needs. The love and attentiveness of this group is humbling.
In Christs Love, Dan Groves

A.M. Stringfellow Main Unit: Saturday, April 27th
Apostle Ray Felder, Sis Felder, Dr. Cassandra Kitchen, and I went to this Unit There were about 30-40 men present. The choir opened up with beautiful worship songs. Sis Johnnie Mae Felder expounded with a scripture reading, Apostle Ray ministered in song and Dr. Kitchen brought a mighty power word from Matthew 7:13-14 “What Road Will You Take”. The men were very attentive and receptive of the word. Many came for prayer. Praise God, two gave their life to Christ.

Gist Unit: Sunday, April 28th
We had two services at the Gist Unit in Beaumont, Dr. Cassandra ministered at the 11am service and Apostle Felder ministered at the 1:30pm service. “Lord Hide Me In The Secret Place”, Ps 91:1-16. About 60 men were in the first service and around 86 men in the second service. The place had standing room only. God really moved in both services. Two men received Christ, and two men returned back to Christ.
Bless you, Chaplain Shelia Johnson

Ramsey Trustee Unit: Sunday, April 28th
Dan Groves went to this unit and found some changes. Past leaders had been paroled and new leaders had stepped up in the anointing of Christ. I also noted, worship seemed to be deeper in reverence of God’s presence. I was compelled to bring the same message about the contrast of God’s Love and my performance, ‘which is a reasonable form of Worship’. The men were blessed and several commented on how the Spirit had been speaking this to them. After a time of prayer, many remained to fellowship until last call for chow.
Be filled in Christ, Dan Groves

Wayne Scott Unit: Sunday, April 28th
I ministered in this unit and introduced the Hope For All In Jesus Prison Ministry. I then led the men in worship and gave the message His Love never ends and we as Believers have the Holy Spirit to guide our every step, who brings convictions for us to return and not to condemnation, as the enemy of souls does. At the end of the service, several men came forward for prayer and recommitted their life to the Lord.
God Bless, Pastor John Hammond
